Privacy Policy

Cliq ("we", "our", or "the app") is a tally counter and tasbeeh application. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our app.

1. Information We Collect

Data stored locally on your device:

• Counter names, values, and settings
• Count history and statistics
• App preferences (theme, sound, vibration settings)

This data remains on your device unless you explicitly use Google Drive backup. Cliq does not operate its own account system or backend server.

2. Google Account (Optional)

If you choose to use the Google Drive backup feature (Pro), Cliq requests the limited Google Drive application-data permission. The app uploads and retrieves a backup containing your counters, count history, and app settings in your Google Drive app data folder. Cliq cannot browse or access your other Drive files.

Google handles sign-in and authorization. We do not receive or store your Google password, and we do not maintain a copy of your backup on our own servers. You can revoke Cliq's Google access from your Google Account permissions and remove its stored app data through Google Drive.

3. Microphone (Optional)

If you turn on Count by Sound, Cliq requests microphone permission and analyzes changes in sound level while the counter screen is visible. This processing happens in real time on your device. Cliq does not record, save, upload, or share microphone audio. Sound analysis stops when you turn the feature off, leave the counter screen, or move the app to the background.

4. Analytics

Cliq uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand whether the app's core features work well and to improve the first-use experience. Depending on your device and configuration, Google Analytics for Firebase may collect:

• App-instance and Firebase installation identifiers
• App lifecycle and interaction events, such as opening the app, choosing a quick-start template, creating a counter, completing a first count, reaching predefined count milestones, using Count by Sound, exporting CSV, viewing Pro, and starting or completing a purchase
• Approximate location derived from a masked IP address
• In-app purchase events and product information such as product ID and price

We do not send counter names, counter values, Tasbeeh text, other free-form content, email addresses, or a developer-defined user ID to Firebase Analytics. Analytics-specific collection of the Android advertising ID is disabled. Analytics data is encrypted in transit and processed according to Google's Privacy Policy.

5. Advertising

The free version of Cliq displays banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and share data for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention, including:

• IP address, which may be used to estimate approximate location
• App launches, taps, ad views, and other interaction data
• Diagnostic information such as app launch time, hang rate, and energy usage
• Advertising ID, app set ID, and other applicable device or account identifiers

AdMob data is encrypted in transit and handled according to Google's Privacy Policy. Pro users do not see advertisements.

6. In-App Purchases

In-app purchases are processed by Google Play. We do not collect or store payment card or bank account information. Google Play handles the transaction. Google Analytics for Firebase may record purchase events and product information for analytics as described above.

7. Data Sharing and Sale

We do not sell personal data. Data is transmitted to Google services only as needed for the features and purposes described in this policy: Firebase Analytics for product analytics, AdMob for advertising and related measurement and fraud prevention, Google Drive for user-initiated backup, and Google Play for purchases.

8. Data Security and Your Choices

Data sent to the Google services described above is encrypted in transit. Local counter data can be removed by deleting counters, clearing the app's data, or uninstalling Cliq. Google Drive backup data can be removed from your Drive app data, and Google access can be revoked from your Google Account. Android settings let you revoke microphone permission and reset or delete your advertising ID.

9. Data Retention

Local data remains until you delete it or uninstall the app. Google Drive backup data remains in your account until you replace or delete it. Analytics, advertising, and purchase-related data is retained according to the applicable Google service settings and policies.

10. Children's Privacy

Cliq is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
